Frank Zimerman Retires After Working 10,061 days at Wing Aviation
The date was set quite a while ago, and Frank wasn’t shy to remind all of us exactly how many days left to his retirement. On Friday, July 19 the countdown was over, and we all celebrated Frank’s impressive aviation career at our Houston Hobby Airport headquarters.
John Wing’s Gulfstream II jet shaped celebration cake was the highlight of the party, an aircraft that Frank has worked on many years ago.
Frank Zimerman holds an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration with an Inspection Authorization endorsement. He worked for a Fortune 500 Company’s corporate flight department for over 17 years prior to joining Wing Aviation on January 1st, 1997.
Frank was instrumental in starting Wing Aviation’s former Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and Aircraft Paint Shop in Conroe North Houston Regional Airport (formerly known as Lonestar Executive Airport).
All of us at Wing Aviation are proud of Frank’s service, thankful for the past 27 years, 6 months, 18 days – a total of 10,061 days - and look forward to staying in touch between his new retirement adventures.
