Mandarin Oriental's newest beach retreat - an all-suite, all-villa island gem is nestled along a white powder stretch of Godahl Beach on the island of Canouan.
Known as the island of tortoises, Canouan is one of the Caribbean's most sought-after luxury destinations, part of small islands and cays belonging to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It is blessed with warm, friendly people, beautiful white-sand beaches, lush tropical landscapes and crystal clear, turquoise waters.
Surrounded by the Caribbean's largest living coral reef, the perfectly secluded island of Canouan is just five square miles in size and is a place of exquisite natural beauty. Located on a private 1,200 acre gated estate with plenty of activities and a host of fabulous restaurants, the Mandarin Oriental resort is the perfect tropical destination featuring 26 ocean-facing suites and 11 tranquil villas.
Caribbeans may not be known for a golf destination, but the island features a challenging 72-Par Jim Fazio designed 18-hole championship golf course is located on dramatic sloping hills skirting the oceans edge. Named one of the Top 10 'Best Golf Courses' in the world, the Hole 16 features one of the longest par-3's in the world at 305 yards. The breeze at the top of the ridge adds to the challenge, but makes these holes the most sensational on the course.
